The Vision Behind PhiréGigno

Ezichi Sapphire Okoroafor, who has also created under the moniker, "Phiré", began making portraits of family and friends at around the age of nine, developing a keen eye for detail, structure and likeness. Over time, this evolved into a sustained practice rooted in observation and composition across portraiture, architecture, and landscapes.

She reimagines objects, built forms, and scenes through stylization and controlled realism, creating contemplative narratives centred largely on immersive solitude.

Alongside visual art, she has maintained a longstanding interest in music, singing in the choir from childhood and cultivating an awareness of rhythm, balance, and harmony.

Professionally, she works in strategic planning and systems engineering, architecting solutions for enterprise transformation and operational efficiency. This analytical discipline informs her approach to visual composition.

She accepts a limited number of commissioned works each year.
