Formed through the collision of the African and Eurasian tectonic plates, the Matterhorn stands as one of the most recognisable peaks in the Swiss Alps, its sharp pyramidal form carved over millions of years by glacial erosion.

The scene has been reimagined through stylization.

The Painting

The work began with a graphite underdrawing to map out the mountain’s complex, pyramidal geometry.

This foundational layer ensured structural precision before I transitioned into paint, building layers of colour while maintaining the "order" and balance essential to the final composition.
