Inspired by a lush landscape in Jos, Nigeria, the composition was reimagined through stylization.
The Process
The work began with a graphite underdrawing to establish the scene’s intricate perspective.
This initial layer remained deliberately loose, allowing form and detail to emerge gradually through layers of colour, enhancing the overarching sense of stillness I aim to convey in the final piece.
