The Practice of Phiré
Phiré began drawing and painting from a young age, creating portraits of family and friends. Over time, this developed into a sustained practice rooted in observation, structure, and composition across portraiture, architecture, and landscapes.
She has worked as an operations consultant across the government, technology and oil and gas sectors for 12 years.
Alongside visual art, she maintained a longstanding interest in music, singing in the choir from childhood. An awareness of rhythm, balance, and harmony continues to shape the compositional discipline within her work.
Her paintings reinterpret architecture, natural forms, structural heritage, and environments encountered during travel and everyday observation through controlled realism and stylization.
Working across various mediums, she is particularly interested in clarity of form, spatial balance, and translating physical environments into enduring, quiet contemplative works.
Each original work is produced using museum-grade archival materials for longevity, and accompanied by documented provenance.
She undertakes a limited number of commissioned works each year.
